They are seeking an Intensive Care Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech to provide patient care and clerical activities under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include clerical support, EKG monitoring, and maintaining communication with various departments.

Responsibilities
Provide clerical support for the functions of the intensive care unit
Greeting visitors in a friendly manner
Courteously answering the telephone and taking accurate messages
Maintaining communication with physician, ancillary departments and supervisors
Enters and updates computer data and assists in maintaining supplies for the unit
Ensures proper handling of patient charts
Provides EKG monitoring for the patients in the ICU
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered
EKG Monitoring exam within 6 months of hire
Utilizes knowledge of EKG monitoring, and clerical skills to assist the registered nursing staff
Preferred
Previous experiences in acute, sub acute or long-term care setting preferred
Monitor Tech experience preferred
Computer skills preferred
