Responsibilities
Serve as the voice of the customer to the development team, translating business needs into technical requirements
Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize the team's roadmap in alignment with program vision
Manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clear, actionable, and prioritized for maximum value delivery
Work cross-functionally with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative solutions
Define acceptance criteria and validate that delivered features meet customer needs and quality standards
Manage in product prompt engineering as needed to support new customers and use cases
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in product ownership or management of AI/ML products, preferably in healthcare or related fields
Strong understanding of generative AI technologies, LLMs, and prompt engineering techniques
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders
Ability to quickly develop domain expertise in medical claims processing and healthcare documentation
3+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally for B2B SaaS or healthcare/insurance technology products
Experience developing or delivering AI/ML-driven products — specifically with generative AI, LLMs, or NLP-based systems
Familiarity with healthcare claims data formats (837, UB-04, HCFA 1500), medical records, and EHR data
Understanding of medical claims workflows — payer side or third-party admin (TPA) side
Hands-on experience collaborating with AI/ML teams, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams (AI/ML, engineering) and business users (claims reviewers, adjusters, medical directors)
Preferred
Familiarity with platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, HuggingFace, or similar LLM environments
Experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems or knowledge graph integration
Background in healthcare compliance, medical coding, or medical review
Past experience working in property & casualty insurance, workers comp, or disability claims technology
