Responsibilities
Design and develop electronics hardware needed to enable on-demand, hardware-in-the-loop ( HIL ) simulation workflows
Create schematics and layouts for custom hardware
Analyze circuit performance to ensure design meets requirements
Oversee the fabrication process
Perform acceptance testing to ensure hardware meets specifications
Contribute to the design and development of a simulation system capable of automatically provisioning and deploying resources to support simulation workflows
Qualification
Required
6+ years of professional experience in electronics design, fabrication, and testing
Expertise in PCB design and best practices
Experience using PCBA design tools (Altium Designer, EAGLE, KiCad, etc.)
Experience implementing mixed-signal PCBs with digital communications (UART, I2C, SPI, RS422, RS485, CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, Spacewire, etc.)
Experience using common laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition systems, etc.)
Preferred
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Lua, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
Experience designing high-reliability and/or safety-critical systems (i.e. for spacecraft or automotive applications)
