Responsibilities
Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form
Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam
Maintain equipment and report any current or malfunctions with equipment immediately
Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department
Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation
Coordinate and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information
Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination. Inspects equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary
Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner
Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders
Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule
Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned
Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire
Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory
Preferred
Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
