Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs that power Kargo’s Workflow applications, especially Campaign Management

Work across the stack — from database and backend services to frontend user interfaces — to deliver complete solutions

Partner with Product, Design, and Ad Operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Ensure high availability, performance, and security of internal platforms

Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and set best practices for engineering excellence

Drive improvements in developer productivity, system observability, and automation

Leverage industry knowledge to design features that integrate seamlessly with Kargo’s ad-serving ecosystem

Required

6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity

Full-stack experience, with proficiency in both backend development (PHP, Go, Node.js, or similar) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)

Deep understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and API design

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
