Responsibilities

Responsible for doing research on molecular beam epitaxy on Group IV materials and their device fabrications and characterizations for both optoelectronic and electronic applications
Guiding graduate students and undergraduate students

Required

PhD required at the time of hire
Strong collaboration skills and hard-working spirits
Competent on paper writing

Preferred

Strong background in materials, semiconductor physics, and devices
Relevant material growth experience in material growth using molecular beam epitaxy or metal organic chemical vapor deposition
Semiconductor device fabrication experience
Interest in high-frequency electronic devices: heterojunction bipolar transistors, high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs)
Interest in low-power devices: novel transistors (tunneling field-effect transistors, and III-V metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors)
Interest in light-emitting devices and high-speed detectors: light-emitting diodes, laser diodes, photodetectors, etc
Interest in neuromorphic computing: neuron devices and circuits for computation
