Responsibilities
Help empower clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all
Develop P&ID’s, equipment and piping specifications, complete hydraulic sizing, and heat transfer calculations
Attend design meetings, perform field surveys, facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), field vendor quotations, and review vendor submittals
Perform detailed design, commissioning, and startup services based on project requirements
Qualification
Required
BS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, or similar from an ABET accredited program
8+ years of experience in a consulting environment designing Chemical Process systems or leading design projects in the biopharmaceutical industry
Experience with communicating with clients, partners and individuals at all levels within an organization
Knowledge and experience with piping systems and a variety of unit operations as applied to pharmaceutical, food, and chemical processing
Understanding of applicable design codes, standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them
Professional engineering registration
Detailed, hands-on knowledge of PLC or DCS control systems
Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols
Ability to travel for client meetings, field survey, commissioning, and startup support
Strong spoken and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to work effectively individually and within team environments
Preferred
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical validation process
