Assistant Professor of Finance
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is inviting applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance positions in the School of Business, starting August 2026. The role primarily focuses on teaching finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, while also engaging in scholarly activities and service to the university.

Responsibilities
Teach four courses per semester
Courses taught may include a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses as well as across multiple modalities such as in-person, online, or hybrid
Provide advising to students both within and outside of the classroom regarding their future careers in finance
Participate in the creation and distribution of scholarly work in alignment with the Boyer Model of Scholarship
Engage and share expertise with professional associations and organizations
Engage in service to the university and the business school through formal and ad hoc committees
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in finance or a closely related field, with the expectation that a doctorate degree is conferred by year 5 for tenure consideration
Relevant professional experience in corporate finance, investment, banking, or related industries
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses effectively
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to advise and mentor students
Preferred
Expertise in additional areas such as accounting, economics, or management
Relevant professional credentials (e.g., CFP, CTP, CFA, CPA, CMA) are desirable
