Long Wall Company was created in 2025 to accelerate missile defense technology for the U.S. and our allies. The Hardware Development Engineer will take total ownership of engineering products, working from ideation through design, manufacturing, qualification, and field support.

Responsibilities

Total ownership of Long Wall engineering products, from ideation through design, manufacturing, qualification, and field support

Required

B.S. in any engineering discipline from an accredited university
5+ years of industry experience in a related design or development role
US person status (including US citizens, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted U.S. asylum status, or individuals admitted in U.S. refugee status) is a required qualification for this position

Preferred

Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., NX, CATIA, CREO/Pro-E)
Strong analytical capability using hand calculations and finite element analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN)
Firm understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and DFM principles
Ability to develop scripts in Python or MATLAB for automation and analysis
Strong understanding of structural mechanics
Strong understanding of compressible/incompressible flow dynamics and thermodynamics
Demonstrated ability to write and execute test procedures for complex hardware operations
Strong technical writing and communication skills for design reviews, test plans, and system documentation
