Sonora Behavioral Health is Arizona's largest inpatient psychiatric hospital, committed to providing superior quality care. They are seeking weekend/PRN Clinical Scribes to perform clerical and information technology functions for practitioners in a psychiatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Accurately and thoroughly document psychiatric evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries

Knowledgeable of patient charts and ability to operate electronic health record and dictation system

Anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of patient encounters

Assist in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow up and compliance

Alert physician when chart is incomplete

Assist in ensuring all addenda are signed off by a physician

Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential

Collaborate with patient treatment teams and administrative departments including Health Information Management, Utilization Review, Admitting and Receiving, Nursing and Social Work

Required

Bachelor's degree in health or business administration related field or Medical Assistant experience
