The role is critical for ensuring seamless communication between the kitchen and dining areas, organizing and delivering food orders accurately and promptly while maintaining food quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Order Coordination: Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers, ensuring all orders are accurate and complete before leaving the kitchen
Food Quality Control: Inspect dishes to ensure presentation standards, portion sizes, and temperatures align with restaurant guidelines
Timing Management: Monitor ticket times and ensure that food is delivered in a timely manner
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any discrepancies or delays in orders, communicating with kitchen staff and servers as needed
Station Organization: Keep the expediting station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., garnishes, utensils)
Team Communication: Facilitate clear and efficient communication between the back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) teams
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure guests receive the correct dishes as ordered and that any special requests are fulfilled accurately
Qualification
Required
At least one year of experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food quality and presentation standards
Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Team-player mindset with a proactive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment
Preferred
Previous experience in a restaurant environment (as a food expeditor, server, or line cook)
