JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Company, is committed to providing innovative solutions in the access market. They are seeking an Autonomy Engineering Intern to assist in designing, analyzing, and testing autonomy systems in various engineering fields related to robotics.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Develop control systems using ROS 2, Parker IQAN or other relevant software development kits
Prepare and perform tests in simulated environments such as Gazebo
Develop finite state machines and behavior trees
Design electrical schematics and build prototype harnesses
Prepare concepts using CREO or other CAD software
Perform system and subsystem level testing

Required

Student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering field with relevant Autonomy or Robotics research experience
3.0 GPA or higher
Ability to maintain confidentiality of various degrees of information

Preferred

Graduate student with research focusing on computer vision, autonomy, mechatronics, computer science or robotic theory
Enjoys hands on work environment using electromechanical diagnostics skillset
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload
Flexible and adaptable to working under tight deadlines and/or changing needs
Experience working with Controller Area Network (CAN) and the J1939 protocol
Experience working with various ethernet protocols
