They are seeking a Chemical Lab Intern who will work under the direction of the Operations Superintendent and Results Lab Supervisor to learn about power plant operations and gain valuable skills in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Learn power plant principles and operations under the direction of the Operations Superintendent and Results Lab Supervisor

Gain knowledge of an industrial environment as it pertains to the power production industry by working closely with various trades

Learn how the Results Lab supplies the plant with drinking water and water to assist with firefighting

Learn about maintaining the boiler water & steam chemistry

Complete specific projects that may include water sampling, cooling water supply, lab analysis samples, monitoring chlorine levels, and documentation updates

Required

Must be currently enrolled in school and have completed 45 college credit hours

Superior organizational and communication skills are required

Will consider applicants with an educational focus on mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, engineering technology, or industrial technology, with an emphasis in manufacturing, or sustainable energy systems management
