Responsibilities
Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role
Must be proficient in standard office software tools and processes
Strong foundational knowledge in robotics or complex electro-mechanical and networked engineering, including knowledge of robotic systems, components, and software
Strong bias towards taking independent initiative while reporting these efforts up to their leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly explain technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to capture lessons learned and drive technical continuous improvement projects
Ability to function independently and manage a team of 1-5 engineers and related trades during deployments
Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders working on the project to resolve cross-functional deployment issues
Ability to oversee and resolve escalations during robotics deployment including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring robotics system performance, etc
Responsible for delivering projects by owning key KPIs around on-time delivery, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability
Understanding of data collection, reporting processes, and ability to make data-driven decisions
Qualification
Required
Are 18 years of age or older
Currently working towards Bachelor's or Masters Degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD program that is physically located in the United States and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
Are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) co-op during the 6-month co-op duration
Understanding of data collection, reporting processes, and ability to make data-driven decisions
Ability to read technical drawings and/or reading CAD models to resolve on-site clash issues using 3D clash detection reports
Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring robotics system performance, etc
Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions
Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role and travel extensively across the US and potentially internationally

1-2 years of experience working in a field engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment

Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
Ability to take independent initiative when presented with a business need
Knowledge of robot specific experience (Fanuc, ABB), Allen Bradley PLC experience, C++, Python, Java, etc
