Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions for Moody’s content delivery platform

Architect, develop, and maintain data pipelines and cloud-native solutions for content delivery

Support continuous improvement of applications, infrastructure, and process controls

Provide hands-on development and operational support for database deployments across environments

Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions

Manage individual tasks and time efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of assigned work

Lead and educate others through code reviews, workshops, and documentation

Required

Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Apache Airflow, dbt (Structured Query Language), and Python with Amazon Web Services

Strong experience in data integration and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes across diverse data sources and formats

Proficiency in database engineering, especially with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and Databricks

Ability to lead code reviews, workshops, and documentation to educate and support team members

Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency

Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Preferred

Experience with AWS database technologies, data governance principles, object-oriented programming, and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and AWS Kinesis
