Responsibilities

Ability to create process models through the application of discrete-event simulation as the modeling methodology within an industrial setting using readily available commercial software
Ability to perform discrete-event simulations and analyze the output data derived from simulation models using readily available mathematical and statistical software
Experience creating and developing experiments within the discrete-event environment to better understand decision-making and "what-if" scenarios
Demonstrated skills in a programming language
The ability to work and communicate effectively in a diverse team environment
Self-motivated and independent researcher who has demonstrated experience as part of an interdisciplinary team
Ability to obtain a Q Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship

Required

Doctoral Degree in Industrial Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field of engineering, math, or physics

Preferred

A record of achievement through reports, publications, intellectual property, and/or technical products
Publications in refereed journals and a history of successful research in collaborative team environments
Experience developing multi-scale models and/or in uncertainty quantification and data fitting
Familiarity working with 'big' datasets and working knowledge of machine learning tools
