Responsibilities
Perform all duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology
Regulate the equipment used to expose the x-ray film and develop and organize films
Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance
Perform in accordance with Corporate Compliance policy and adhere to its terms and conditions
Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics
Effectively complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination
Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner
Perform routine imaging procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)(M)
Florida license as a General Radiographer (RAD)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Knowledge of Federal and State regulations
Preferred
Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
