Responsibilities

Interpret construction documents in order to create detailed 3-D models which can be used to build and maintain a structure
Develop detailed designs for various structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures and draw-in minute details of structures and components
Layout and draw schematic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
Position instructions, notes and comments onto drawings
Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies and resolve design problems
Connect with internal and external customers to assess needs and provide deliverables that are accurate and precise
Coordinate with other team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintained
Create reports and downloads to assist other team members
Additional duties as assigned

Required

2 or 4 year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or related education. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of education
8+ years of previous experience in structural engineering design
High proficiency operating in Revit/BIM/3D software required
Ability to think critically to solve problems
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with multiple functional groups to coordinate the flow of information
Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and business software
