Addiction Recovery Counseling Intern
Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Western Massachusetts and has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Employers in Massachusetts. They are currently seeking students for an Addiction Recovery Counseling Internship within their My Sister’s House Program, which provides residential recovery services for women, including pregnant and postpartum women and their infants.

Responsibilities
Learning the intake process, including screening, assessment, and orientation
Providing case management and referrals for a small supervised caseload
Assisting with treatment planning and delivering psychoeducation to clients
Shadowing and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups and individual counseling sessions
Observing and supporting crisis intervention services
Documenting services and clinical progress in line with program standards
Collaborating with staff and external providers to coordinate care
Building understanding of substance use, mental health, and recovery practices
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Associate's, or certificate program in a related field
Preferred
Working toward CADC or LADC II certification
Knowledge of substance use treatment and co-occurring populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Interested in addiction services, women's health, and family-centered recovery
