Postdoctoral Research Associate - Reaction Kinetics of Energetic Species

The successful candidate will conduct research in radiation-induced reaction kinetics and mechanisms, utilizing various experimental techniques to understand the radiation chemistry of organic solvents and their applications in energy-related catalytic processes.

Responsibilities
Plan and carry out research in radiation-induced reaction kinetics and mechanisms, including pulse radiolysis experiments on ACER’s accelerator facilities
Data analysis (e.g., fitting transient absorption data, making plots of spectra)
Manuscript preparation and presentation of results at national and international meetings
Qualification
Required
PhD in Chemistry, or a related field
Preferred
Experience in the field of photochemistry/catalysis, electrochemistry/catalysis, or spectroscopy
Use of pulse radiolysis, optical transient absorption, time-resolved infrared, or related spectroscopic methods
Experience with basic synthetic methods, electrochemistry, and sample preparation under inert conditions
Kinetic modeling, thermodynamics, electron transfer
