Responsibilities

The EP Technologist assists in all procedures performed in the EP area

The EP Technologist requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care

The EP Technologist demonstrates an expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X-ray equipment trouble-shooting skills, analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab, and performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment

The EP Technologist demonstrates the ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing

Required

Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology is required

If not RCIS, RCES, then must be eligible to take the credentialing examination and obtain RCIS or RCES within 6 months of hire

Detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care

Expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X-ray equipment trouble-shooting skills

Analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab

Ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing

Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication

Preferred

One year of Cath Lab experience, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures highly preferred
