Responsibilities

Perform pediatric, adolescent and adult diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
Function independently as an expert technologist in invasive cardiology who is a highly competent and clinically skilled member of the Heart and Vascular Care Procedure Center patient care team
In addition to assisting Cardiologists with the most complex procedures, you’ll oversee the technical operations required for the performance of routine diagnostic through the advanced interventional electrophysiology procedures
Be an expert in invasive cardiology procedures based on their knowledge, clinical and technical skill level and ability to educate and train staff within the department

Required

Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Technologist (CVIS) training program Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Upon Hire Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months Required

Preferred

One year of Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology experience or participation in the CVT apprenticeship program may be considered in lieu of education requirement
Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) Technologist training program Preferred
2 years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Laboratory Preferred
RCES, RCIS, or HRS CEPS Certification of Special Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology for Associated Professionals Preferred
