Packaging Operator (SAPB)

The Boston Beer Company is currently hiring a Packaging Operator to work the Night Shift in Breinigsville, PA. The role involves training in all areas of the Packaging Department, operating equipment, and ensuring quality checks and sanitation duties are performed effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform Quality checks, testing, and complete paperwork as required
Conduct proper sanitation duties. This involves the complete cleaning of all the equipment within the facility
Foaming equipment, hoses, brooms, shovels, brushes, scrapers, squeegees, and the numerous chemicals that are necessary to sanitize the designated site
Have a functional understanding of computer systems and automated equipment to input data as required
Communicate with coworkers through various channels, including, but not limited to face to face interactions, brewery phones, and radios
Work autonomously to perform operational, cleaning, inspection, and minor lubrication tasks as required
Follow manufacturing best practices implemented within the department, such as equipment center lining, visualization, and 6S. Make recommendations for the process
Operate forklifts as required
Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies in daily standard work to drive improvements in safety, quality, and overall line performance
Assist other operators and departments in training, repair work, and equipment operation as needed
Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environments

Required

1+ years experience with High speed CPG manufacturing
Forklift experience
Proficient with Computer systems and automated equipment
Mechanical aptitude
Must be able to learn and accurately utilize company systems; operate computers and automated equipment and input data as required
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed
Ability to lift to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shift
Be able to stand, twist, and bend as required for 90% of the work schedule
Work overtime as needed, which may require 12-hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays
