Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership and overall direction for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a multi-billion-dollar underground infrastructure project
Oversee all aspects of project development, including procurement, design management, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling, and construction
Manage a multidisciplinary project team of engineers, contractors, consultants, and support staff
Interface with senior leadership, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment and support
Lead the development and implementation of project governance, compliance, and reporting structures
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across all phases of the project
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues that could impact project scope, schedule, or budget
Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration across all project participants
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive experience in project management and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects
Proven track record as a Project Director or senior leadership role for a prime contractor on at least one underground project valued at $1B+
Deep understanding of tunneling, geotechnical engineering, and large-scale civil works (e.g., transit, wastewater, utility, or hydropower)
Strong background in contract management (e.g., EPC, Design-Build, CMGC, PPP)
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Preferred
Experience working with private developers
Familiarity with federal, state, and local permitting and compliance processes
Demonstrated success managing joint ventures or complex organizational structures
