Responsibilities

Participate in the planning and execution of educational, recreational, and personal enrichment activities
Participate in program recruitment and community outreach
Manage setup, operation and clean-up of activities and the organization, inventory and storing of relevant supplies and equipment
Encourage and guide program participants in examining choices, following directions and becoming involved in program activities
Manage participant’s behavior and maintain safety utilizing strength-based and restorative practices
Implement daily routines, schedules and procedures
Maintain lesson plans, logs, reports and documentation requirements
Participate in ongoing meetings, conferences and training programs
Provide safe passage for participants from the center
Promote a non-violent and trauma-sensitive culture
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/GED required
Experience and comfort mediating conflict
Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, youth development and trauma-informed perspective

Preferred

Experience working/living within the community preferred
Experience or skill in arts, media, dance, sports, recreation, and/or physical education
