In the role of a Civil (Solid Waste) Intern, you will gain real-world experience on solid waste facilities and environmental projects while working under the guidance of a senior-level Engineer.

Responsibilities
Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to solid waste facilities and environmental projects such as landfills, recycling facilities, remediation sites, and waste transfer stations
Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist in groundwater sampling program including coordination with laboratories, data analysis and reporting on behalf of private and public clients for regulatory agency compliance
Perform other duties as needed such as performing overall site layouts, grading plans, utility layout, cost estimating and drainage reviews
Perform administrative duties to support project managers and our clients
Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
May require occasional travel
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
Attention to detail
Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
Prior experience with field work and environmental regulations is a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation is a plus
Preference given to local candidates
