Responsibilities

Managing a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
Performing calculations
Note keeping
Working with DEA staff and clients on these projects
Directing the crew members in the performance of their duties
Mentoring and coaching crew members to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow

Qualification

Survey experienceParty Chief experienceTransportation projectsGPS processesLand development projectsLicensed Land Surveyor

Required

Member in good standing with the Local 3 Union or the ability to join at the time of hire
10+ years of survey experience with at least two years as a Party Chief
Valid California Driver's license with no restrictions

Preferred

Experience on transportation projects
Experience on corridor mapping and GPS processes
Experience on land development projects: Residential, Commercial & Industrial
Land Surveyor in Training or Licensed Land Surveyor
This position is at the Union designation and would be at the Union pay scale
