Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology
Functions as a respectful member of the health care team
Maintains supplies and cleanliness of space, restocks supplies as needed
Notifies supervisor of any shortage of any supplies
Handles stressful situations with little or no supervision
Maintains confidentiality on matters to which they are privileged
Answers patient questions to ensure understanding and patient satisfaction
Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses and office and clinical staff
Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure
Implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
Effectively assesses patients information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly
Performs interventional and general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams for evaluation and treatment by physician
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

IV Contrast CertificationAmerican Registry CertificationRadiologic Technology CertificateInterventional Radiology ExperienceBasic Life Support Certification

Required

High School Diploma
5 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificate from accredited School of Radiologic Technology
New York State license with IV Contrast Certification
Five (5) years experience as an X-ray Technologist
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

Preferred

Experience in interventional radiology
College graduate
