Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Structures (Bridge) Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Mechanicsburg, PA office. The intern will be involved in designing bridges and transportation-related structures, developing contract plans, and providing construction support services.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software

The candidate will also be involved in the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services

Qualification

Civil EngineeringCADD (Microstation)TeamworkPrior experience with PennDOTCommunication skills

Required

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)

A desire to work in a team environment

Preferred

Prior experience with PennDOT is preferred, but not required

Local candidates preferred, no housing stipend will be provided
