Intern –Law Enforcement Training (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is offering a summer internship position in the Office of Attorney General/Law Enforcement Training. The intern will coordinate the summer firearms program, update officer training records, assist with training during the Basic Certification Course, and perform general duties within the office.

Assist LET personnel with training as appropriate during the Basic Certification Course
Perform other general duties within the office
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Students with an interest in a law enforcement career and coursework relevant to that career preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
