Internal Medicine Teaching Faculty
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking board certified/eligible physicians to join their Internal Medicine Teaching Faculty. The role involves teaching Internal Medicine residents, participating in curriculum development, and providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities
Participate in resident selection, orientation, evaluation, and remediation
Curriculum development
Program evaluation, accreditation, and improvement
Supervision and mentoring of Internal Medicine Residents
Teach residents how to care for patients
Provide continuity of care utilizing the Epic electronic health record
Focus on quality improvement, population health and innovation in care delivery
Collaborate with interprofessional care team including Geriatricians, Pharm Ds, Behavioral Health Social Workers, RN and LPNs
Qualification
Required
Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine
Experience in teaching and mentoring medical residents
Ability to participate in resident selection, orientation, evaluation, and remediation
Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
Commitment to excellence in teaching and patient care
Professionalism and dedication to lifelong learning
Ability to provide continuity of care utilizing the Epic electronic health record
Focus on quality improvement, population health, and innovation in care delivery
Ability to collaborate with an interprofessional care team
Preferred
Experience in a community teaching hospital setting
Faculty appointment at a medical school
Leadership experience in medical education
