Responsibilities
Perform First Piece inspections in order to verify part compliance to Engineering drawings prior to approving the part for Production machining
Perform In-Process inspections on production parts in order to ensure continued compliance to Engineering drawings
Document the results of all inspections and compile weekly reports of inspections performed
Interface with machine operators and/or programmers in order to communicate and resolve issues (non-conformances) in an effective and timely manner
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering personnel in order to resolve drawing, fixture or programming-related issues
Use a computer to input and print documents as non-conformance report
Performs reasonably related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Three years minimum experience in an NC machine manufacturing environment
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience (PC-DMIS preferred) helpful but not required
Ability to learn is required
Must be extremely proficient in the use of inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, Inter-mics, height gage, etc.)
Must possess a working knowledge of MS Office products
