Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day operations of the Group
Securing and leading a talented and competent staff
Business development
Allocating resources
Planning and monitoring workflow
Branch-level reporting
Planning and budgeting
Proposal preparation
Interacting with other Dewberry groups and offices
Collaborating closely with other Dewberry offices that offer buildings and facilities engineering
Managing complex multi-discipline projects utilizing both design/build and design/bid/build delivery methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience with a strong technical background in building structures and related engineering
A PE License in one or more states
Strong leadership talents and demonstrated success supervising people
Experience in managing project teams
Private and public sector building structures experience managing projects and clients is highly desirable
Experience in managing staff utilization and maintaining project manpower budgets
Experience in developing private and public sector client proposals, including technical and fee proposals
A strong desire to engage in business development activities in order to meet growth, client diversity, and profit goals
Experience with design of structural steel and reinforced concrete building structures
Experience with design of water treatment and wastewater treatment structures
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
