Collecting, receiving, and distributing specimens within the laboratory
Operation of anticipated laboratory equipment

Qualification

Phlebotomy experienceHuman venipuncture techniquesLab equipment operationLab PracticeComputer systems knowledgeCommunication skillsCritical thinkingProblem-solving skillsAttention to detail

Required

Minimum two (2) years of phlebotomy experience
High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
Graduation from Phlebotomist Tech training program
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
Be a team player
Ability to operate lab equipment and proficient in human venipuncture techniques
Excellent analytical and organization skills
Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area

Preferred

Two (2) or more years of infant and children blood collection experience
Previous experience with Good Lab Practice
Completion of some college level courses
Cert Phlebotomist Tech 1
