X-Ray Technologist- PER DIEM/AS NEEDED
UroPartners LLC is a healthcare organization seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. The role involves preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician
Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
Performs diagnostic radiology procedures
Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
Performs other position related duties as assigned
Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training
Qualification
Required
Must have and maintain current license and certification as an X-Ray Technologist within the required state regulations through Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
CPR certification required
Knowledge of routine to complex Radiologic procedures and protocols
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and multitask
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely
Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to assist patients for transfer from stretcher, wheelchair or in an emergency situation
Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and family
Critical thinking skills and ability to make decisive judgment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks

High school diploma required
A college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
One or more years of clinical experience preferred but not required
