Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Mental Health Services Department. The role involves providing high-quality customer service and performing various administrative duties to support the department's operations.

Responsibilities

Maintains a high level of customer service for the Mental Health Services Department and consistently performs duties with a high level of customer and community focus

Responds to inquiries by disseminating information in an accurate, knowledgeable, efficient, and culturally responsive manner

Performs administrative duties including processing routine correspondence, greeting visitors, and typing documents and correspondence for the department

Answers incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff

Provides administrative support to the Director and staff

Generates requisitions for supplies as needed. Facilitates the procurement, inventory, storage, and delivery of supplies and equipment for the department

Participates in short and long-range planning of the department as directed by the department leader and collaborates with Budget Specialist to track departmental expenditures

Develops and maintains spreadsheets, databases, graphic, and project management application files for the department

Provide regular feedback to supervisor regarding the status of projects or issues

Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED

2 or more years of direct experience

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete assignments with minimum direction and supervision

Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, communication, customer service, supervision, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position

Demonstrated proficiency and experience in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphic applications

Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel

Preferred

Associate's Degree from an accredited university

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
