Responsibilities

Develop and implement modeling and simulation techniques for novel experiments on superconducting devices
Use simulation tools to analyze and understand test results on superconducting devices
Support the current and future development of simulation tools within function, cost, and schedule constraints
Mentor junior staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree in STEM related field with 3 years' of relevant technical experience OR Masters' degree in STEM related field and currently enrolled in a PhD program with a completion date prior to start with 1 year of relevant technical experience OR PhD in STEM related field with 1 year of relevant technical experience
Experience with physics-based modeling and simulation
Experience developing mathematical models to understand experimental results
Experience writing version-controlled code in Python
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance per customer's requirements
PhD in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or a relevant engineering field plus 4 years of relevant professional experience; master's degree plus 6 years of relevant professional experience; bachelor's degree plus 8 years of professional experience
Mentorship and leadership experience in a scientific setting

Preferred

PhD in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or a relevant engineering field plus 4 years of relevant professional experience
Proficiency writing code in Python
Experience validating physics-based models and simulations with experimental results
Active U.S. Government security clearance
