Board Certified Behavioral Analyst

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to join Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital. The BCBA will design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based assessment strategies while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

Utilize a variety of assessment tools which may include the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program and Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, to write operationally defined goals and objectives
Treat problem behavior with a function-based approach, utilizing teaching procedures based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Consistently and frequently analyze data on treatment goals and adjust teaching procedures and intervention strategies according to data, collecting functional assessment data when appropriate
Involve the family in treatment by meeting with parents/guardians consistently providing consultations and/or providing training sessions as needed and ensuring treatment plans include parent goals
Train staff and other professionals to implement ABA treatment plans
Assess the patient’s treatment needs and write detailed goals and objectives for each patient’s treatment plan so that progress may be tracked and measured
Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate the optimum behavior plan
Oversee implementation of programming, data collection, and procedural fidelity of Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Technicians
Maintain and complete reports and session/supervision notes
Conduct appropriate assessments which may include ADOS and other specific assessments in a timely manner
Create programming procedures and materials and complete all necessary documentation requirements timely
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolved complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority

Required

Certification by the Behavior Analyst certification Board required
Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices
Three years' experience working with individuals who have behavioral health challenges
Certification/Licensure as required by state
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
First aid may be required based on state or facility
