Senior Air Traffic Control Field Service Engineer
Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry. They are seeking a Senior Air Traffic Control Field Service Engineer to provide technical and advisory support for various air traffic control and landing systems, primarily working with Government customers.
Responsibilities
Providing technical and advisory support for various air traffic control and landing systems
Working in frequent, direct contact with Government customers
Working primarily from Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, AZ; limited to moderate telework is authorized when not required to be on-site
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in any technical discipline and ten (10) years of experience or a qualifying substitution
Qualifying substitutions: Bachelor's degree plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience (14 total years)
Qualifying substitutions: Associate degree plus six (6) additional years of relevant experience (16 total years)
At least six (6) years of experience must include the installation of Air Traffic Control (ATC) and/or Landing Systems (LS) equipment and design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings
Experience with ATC and LS equipment may include one, some, or all of the following: Data Collection Scheduling Tool (DCAST), Integrated Range Status System (IRSS), Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS), Range Position Location Information (RPLI), Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) AN/TRN-47(V), TACAN AN/URN-32, AN/SPN-46 Automatic Carrier Landing Systems (ACLS), Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS), AN/SPN-35 Precision Approach Radar, AN/SPN-41/41A/41B Instrument Carrier Landing System (ICLS), AN/SPN-43C Air Surveillance Radar, AN/SPN-50(V)1 Air Surveillance Radar, AN/TPX-42 Carrier Air Traffic Control Center (CATCC)/Amphibious Air Traffic Control Center (AATC) Direct Altitude and Identity Readout (DAIR), AN/SYY-1(V) ATC System, Stand Alone Radar Console (STARCON) OJ-753U(V)1, Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), Air 02 Digital Audio Data Recorder (DADR) System, Instrument Landing Systems AN/GRN-33, ICLS FRN-49, MQ-25 Unmanned Carrier Aviation (UCA) Mission Control System (UMCS), Joint Mission Planning System (JUMPS), Precision Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems and similar ATC systems
Experience with preparing designs and developing specifications for complex electrical systems or components
Experience with test and evaluation; fault analysis; troubleshooting
Experience with use of special test and measuring equipment
Experience with supervision and/or training of lower level technicians
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level
Occasional travel to military installations world-wide may be required
