Responsibilities
Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of welding and steel construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications
Interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects
Prepare daily reports and data sheets
Perform various tasks to meet our client's project goals
Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.)
Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, Skidmore etc.)
Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces
Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required
Qualification
Required
Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.)

Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
High school diploma or equivalent required
ICC Structural Welding Inspector
ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector
Print reading
Interpreting codes and specifications
Report writing
Inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications (example: AWS D1.1)
Documenting defects
Reviewing WPS & PQR
Communicate effectively through documentation
Track and monitor work to ensure compliance with various codes and standards
Communicate with Clients and Project Managers effectively and in a timely manner
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
Utilize an iPad for reporting, timekeeping, email, etc
Preferred
AWS CWI
NDT Level II in UT
NDT Level II in MT
NDT Level II in PT
Associate's degree or equivalent desired
General knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel preferred
