Responsibilities

Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique

Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies

Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate

Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health

Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills

Required

Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography

If student, must be in your final semester of Radiologic Technology program

An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality

Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology

Ability to stand for long periods of time
