Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is a leading organization in cancer research and treatment, seeking a visionary leader to head their Phase I Developmental Therapeutics clinical trials program. The Program Head will oversee the development and execution of early-phase clinical trials for novel cancer therapies, ensuring safe evaluation of new treatments and fostering collaborations with researchers and industry partners.

Responsibilities

Providing leadership in designing, implementing, and managing early-phase clinical trials

Working on a team to oversee appropriate selection and placement of phase I trials

Coordinating the infrastructure needed for optimal implementation of phase I studies, including research nurses, data coordinators, regulatory affairs, tissue acquisition, and biostatistical support

Working with medical oncology and other faculty to assure patient accrual to studies

Direct care of a portion of the study patients in addition to the faculty member’s standard of care patients

Outreach to community oncology providers to enhance access to Phase 1 trials

Assisting with faculty recruitment as well as oversight and mentorship of faculty leading Phase I trials
