Responsibilities

Design engineering of vertical structures for commercial & institutional projects, transportation and transit systems, federal and public works projects

Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations

Develop structural details and construction plans using Revit

Provides input and technical guidance to BIM and CADD Designer/Drafters and other project staff

Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to assure coordinated design systems

Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration process

Productively collaborates with PMs and other project TMs and leads or encourages task teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other

Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on assigned project tasks and daily operations

Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current

Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the PM on assigned project tasks

Complete project task assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality

Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assigned tasks

Effectively leads, creates, plans, executes project tasks on a project

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Master's Degree in Structural Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer required, Structural Engineer License a plus

(8+) years' experience in Structural Engineering including Construction Administration

Understanding of International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, AISC Steel Construction Manual, AISC Seismic Design Manual and other material design codes

Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
