Buro Happold is seeking a talented and experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to join their hybrid team in Boston. In this role, you will lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems, manage project resources, and guide junior engineers while ensuring high-quality solutions for various projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and technical specifications of plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring quality output

Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver high-quality solutions

Guide graduates and other junior engineers through their professional development

Produce coordinated detailed design specifications

Communicate directly with clients and maintain client relationships

Ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and codes

Required

8+ years of plumbing and fire protection engineering experience

Relevant bachelor or master degree

Experience using Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM360

Ability to review and analyze codes and standards

Excellent client-facing and communication skills

Preferred

Membership in ASPE or ISPE, with Certified Plumbing Designer and LEED AP accreditation desirable
