Responsibilities
Preparing and implementing Quality Assurance policies and procedures
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with ISO 9001, DOT Part 192, and company standards
Conduct and oversee field inspections, testing, and audits of underground piping, trenching, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), backfill, and restoration work
Ensure compliance with material specifications, installation procedures, and workmanship standards
Collaborate with field crews, operations leadership, and safety teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework
Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues
Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed
Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with leadership
Lead internal audits on internal & subcontractor resources and support third-party inspections
Maintain accurate and timely documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective/preventive actions
Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues
Provide training and guidance to field personnel on QA procedures and best practices
Interface with client QA representatives and participate in project review meetings
Track and report on quality performance metrics, driving continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Minimum one (1) year of related QA/QC experience, with at least five (5) years in underground natural gas distribution
Strong knowledge of DOT Part 192, API standards, and underground utility construction
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASTM, and applicable local/state regulations
Proficient in MS Office, QA software, and document control systems
Excellent leadership, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
Proven leadership in a cross functional team environment
Preferred
Certifications such as CQA, CQE, or API 1169 preferred
