Senior Propulsion Thermal Production Engineer

Responsibilities
Coordinate with teams to verify spacecraft propulsion and thermal subsystems align with criteria. Coordinating flight installations & assemblies for engine and heat components, leading all aspects of hardware demand planning, coordinating resources, and prioritizing tasks
Work with propulsion & thermal leaders to meet Blue Ring needs for propulsion & thermal assembly
Partner with manufacturing engineers, technician shift supervisors, and production planners to plan daily, weekly, and monthly work center production schedules
Support and coordinate the efforts of the multi-functional integrated product team comprised of design engineering, manufacturing/production engineering, program planning & control (PP&C), tooling, quality, test, and other support functions
Work with design and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve conflicts with Non-Conformances (NCs), drawing release, work order releases and execution, and test planning to ensure the right people, parts and procedures are in place to keep Blue Ring propulsion & thermal integrations happen on schedule
In collaboration with the Blue Ring program team, manage technical and programmatic risks/opportunities, including identifying, documenting, presenting, developing mitigation plans and driving outcomes at program acceptable levels
Clear communication of status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions to leadership, while also providing clear constraints and mentorship to the support teams
Coordinate with procurement and internal and external manufacturing, to ensure that hardware priorities are well understood and are actively managed to support the need dates
Identify schedule-critical hardware, equipment, people, and facilities; resolve constraints
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering; physics; or other major requiring engineering or manufacturing core courses
5+ years of experience in designing/developing/producing complex engineered products
2+ years of technical project management or system integration experience
Demonstrated experience with core project management skills including with logic-linked scheduling, budget and schedule variance tracking and reporting project status to leadership
Enjoy leading and participating in highly collaborative efforts and a desire to lead and manage small teams on a fast-paced hardware and flight projects
Demonstrated ability building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience with communicating with and coordinating small to medium sized team
Preferred
Experience with Primavera (P6), CREO, Windchill, JIRA, MS Project
Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or similar experience working in vehicle integration and test
Experience with risk management, configuration management, requirements management
Experience with budget and Cost Account Management such as EVM
Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle
Experience with spacecraft propulsion or thermal systems or other high-performance system
