Responsibilities

Drive key feature areas for Unity Catalog like Lineage and Tagging, by planning and leading large-scale technical projects
Build architecture design, influence product roadmap, and take ownership and responsibility over new projects
Lead systems debugging, performance measurement & optimization on large production clusters
Introduce tools to allow greater automation and operability of services
Use your deep experience to help prevent and investigate production issues
Contribute as a Technical Lead by mentoring others, lead project planning, delegating work to team members

Required

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience
15+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability
5+ years of technical leadership experience building complex production systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable bias toward action
Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines
Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables
