Senior Missile Avionics Engineer

Responsibilities
Engage regularly with government and industry collaborators, and internal domain experts and program managers on future missile avionics architecture and design
Collaborate with a wide range of engineering fields such as electrical design, digital signal processing, embedded systems, sensor fusion, software engineering and systems engineering
Apply your technical skills and coordinate teams to address design questions and provide innovative solutions to sponsors and influence other collaborators
Recognize emerging needs and develop new work
Qualification
Required
Have a B.S. or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical field
Have deep understanding of electronics design and architecture
Have experience in digital and analog electronics design and knowledge of related digital and software architectures
Have knowledge related to design and test of high-reliability hardware for missile environments
Have participated in detailed reviews (System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review) and provided evidence to satisfy entrance and exit criteria for those reviews
Have demonstrated the ability to lead small teams and communicate effectively
Are willing and able to support weekly local travel and additional travel of an average of three weeks per year
Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information up to the Secret level. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship
Preferred
Has an M.S. in a relevant subject area
Has background in missile avionics or other flight avionics design
Has knowledge of the Trident Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile system and the Strategic Systems Programs
Can apply avionics and embedded design to systems security engineering concerns
