Responsibilities
Assist in designing sub-transmission systems, substations, switching stations, and commercial/industrial power distribution systems
Develop concept design alternatives, engineering calculations, analysis, and engineering estimates for small-scale system improvement projects for substations and distribution systems
Assist Lead Engineers with major capital upgrade projects: site visits, engineering calculations, drawings, drafting, field inspections, technical report writing, etc
Perform site surveys for new utility service requests, develop concept design alternatives and present the alternatives to CLPE management and the customer
Create, update, and maintain GIS database for large-scale electrical distribution systems
Analyze electrical fault events, power quality issues, system loading scenarios and assist with implementing corrective actions
Schedule and attend field walk-downs with our Customers to better understand and determine project requirements
Create system model for large-scale power system and perform various power system analysis/studies
Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation
Qualification
Required
BS degree, Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university
Zero-two (0-2) years' related work experience
You must be a US citizen
You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance
Valid Driver's License required
Preferred
Power systems coursework preferred
Internship experience desired
Familiar with power system analysis, distribution system modeling, and protective device coordination preferred
Coursework or experience with engineering software (such as ETAP, SKM, or similar)
Be a Team Player with excellent oral and written communication skills
