Deputy Program Manager of Operations (DPMO)

Responsibilities

Lead a team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans, and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division
Identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated WBS-based budget and schedule baselines, and monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules
Balance program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets
Manage people who lead cross-functional program teams in matrix organization that are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers
Supports Sr. DPMO with Proposal development
Performs labor forecasts for proposals
Team coordination, Set priorities, Program communication, Support Team
Ensure program requirements are being met
Supports Business Program Manager & Sr DPMO in day-to-day program operations, including CAM responsibilities (as applicable) and Earned Value Reporting
Assists in scheduling, budgeting, & resource allocation activities
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure program alignment
Monitors program tasks & milestones, reporting on progress & any issues
Prepares program documentation, reports, & presentations for stakeholders
Assists in identifying & managing program risks & issues
Communication of program status & updates to team members & stakeholders
Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, & company requirements
Participates in customer meetings & assists in maintaining customer relationships
Gains experience & knowledge in program management processes & best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience to meet managerial expectations
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Strong knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications
Skilled in the development and implementation of product/program strategy and tactics
Exceptional communication skills to relay issues, impacts, and corrective actions on programs to internal and external representatives
Manage costs, schedule, risk
Supports Sr. DPMO with Proposal development
